Maaribu is one of Austin's only stockists for both Trudon and Tatine — two of the most revered candle brands in the world, and as different from each other as they are from anything you'd find elsewhere. Trudon, the oldest candlemaker in the world with roots dating to 17th-century France, produces deeply complex, literary scents in iconic black and gold vessels — from the green fig of Figuerie to the smoky warmth of Abd El Kader. Tatine takes a more naturalistic approach: small-batch, natural wax candles poured in smoke-grey mouth-blown glass, with scents that feel quiet and elemental.
